AN AMERICAN GENTLEMAN
This page has been created for Angus Kramer McNeil. A Boston Terrier, also known as the American Gentlemen of doggies. He was born May 8 2002. He lives in White Bluff, Tennessee with his human parents, Nick, Lisa & brother Ryne McNeil. Below you will find some more pictures of Angus that show some of why he is such a cherished member of our family.
Known as the American gentlemen among dogs because of his gentle disposition, the Boston Terrier breed was the product of an English Bulldog and a white English Terrier. The best known Boston Terrier and the ancestor of most modern Boston Terriers is Hooper's Judge. Hooper's Judge, perhaps the most famous Boston ever, was purchased by Robert C. Hooper of Boston in 1870. The Boston Terrier is one of the few dog breeds that is native to America. The Breed historically has carried many nick names, such as the “American Gentleman”, “Boston Bulls”, "Bull Terriers" and "round-heads". As a relative newcomer to the dog world, they have already built a strong story and following. The Boston Terrier was first registered by the American Kennel Club in 1893.
I hope you enjoyed my page. Kisses, Licks and Slobbers, Angus Note: Angus went on ahead to the Rainbow Bridge in the summer of 2005, while our hearts are broken, we know one day we will see him again. We have since been adopted by his nephews, Roscoe & Bogart, litter brothers of Angus's own litter sister. I hope to soon have pictures up of these rascals. Each dog has their unique personality, and of course can never be replaced. But we feel it honors the memory of the pets that have gone on before to want more.
