The design of the crew station Crush Box sides do not support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. The sides are often damaged by maintenance personnel who rest, step or apply weight to the unsupported material. This damage can be prevented with the local manufacture and installation of Crush Box Supports. They are constructed of .60 layered aluminum which are drilled to use the existing nutplates and hardware. Since the seat bottoms in each aircraft are not the same, we elongated the holes .375" to aide the installation in multiple aircraft.
