What's up?
Er, guess what? I fell asleep in my plane as I went back to France and only woke up yesterday! So I haven't really had time to work properly on my site. BUT there should be much more on January 15. Promised! In this edition however:
- New pictures in the People section
- In the Who's Who subsection, new pictures have been added or changed -Liisa didn't like hers for instance and Rob has no more beard
- Links to Adam's a.k.a. the Smile Guy's posting plateau and online chat -try those, it's terrific! Sounds all Greek to you? Patience, there's a special section later in this page that should enlighten you...
What will be up?
Well, no more news -and hot pictures- from Bloomington for now but still a bunch of major innovations to come:
- This site should be updated every 15 days or so starting from January 15.
- This site will be improved too: earlier pictures will be re-scanned the proper way, under construction sections will be opened (BQT films, Cool links, new photo sections and other stuff too), the photo gallery might well be re-organized so as to enable you to load the pictures faster, etc.
- Adam's posting plateau will quickly get richer and richer in terms of content, audience and people involved as sophisticated tools are provided by that Super Creative Smile Guy. I know, it sounds a bit abstract right now, patience...
- Adam's online chat will enable you to chat live with each other or others too since we're definitely not encouraging ghettos.
One more thing: for Bloomington survivors, you thought your nightmare was over (phew, no more compromising pictures, no more verbal harassments, no more cheap sick humor samples, no more obnoxious paparazzi around...), well, NOT AT ALL! Guillermo has promised me he would take over the job. So Guillermo, don't forget: no mercy!
Posting Plateau
What is it? Well, technically speaking it's just like my guestbook except that it's related to a specific topic -or not- and much user-friendlier. It's a kind of forum where you can interact with others by posting messages on a public board. For you not to get lost in Adam's huge site, he unfortunately had the idea to name the posting set "BQT society". I agree, this HAS to change and you're definitely encouraged to post your suggestions in the Lennie's section.
So far, there are indeed 2 sections: one about a specific topic that you'll find out by yourself by clicking on the link below and one named Lennie's. Lennie's section is not related to any topic in particular since it's all about social loafing, the Catalan way if you prefer. So basically, you can throw in any topic you want. Ok, enough for the bla bla, here's the magic URL:
Online chat
What is it now? It's live chat, heck!!! It's just less tiring because you don't have to watch your facial expressions that might sometimes betray you... ;-) You'll find two possible URLs below. One takes you directly to our official room "#ASZ" (Adam's SmileZone, duh!) and you have to sign up for that room with the other URL (but it might be faster).
Pass on the name of the room to your friends and others so as to foster the community enlargement and so that you'll always know where you are. But of course, if you get sick of all those people you know more or less, you can still change rooms by picking one in the list the server displays. Basically, you're totally free!
