Born in Vancouver,19 year old Joshua Jackson spent his formative years in California,moving with his family back to Vancouver at the age of eight.It was there that he launched his professional career,appearing in a series of television commercials promoting tourism in British Columbia.While his family shuttled between Vancouver and California,Jackson also sang with the San Francisco Boy's Chorus.

Moving from the PG-rated "Mighty Ducks" to teacher's love pet Pacey helped improve Jackson's standing among friends back home in Vancouver,British Columbia."I called them up and said,'Man,you'll never believe what I get to do on this show!"he say's.Actually the 19 year old is quite the intellectual(he reads philosophy in his spare time)and the old pro of the cast.At 9 he begged his mother,a casting director who worked on ABC MacGyver,to send him to auditions.His big break came at 13 when he was cast as Charlie,the coach's prodigy in "The Mighty Ducks";two sequels followed later in Scream 2 and has a part in the upcoming feature "Apt Pupil," based on a Stephen King story.
