We are in town with Arline today she has gone through the operation alright is resting at present is now(*not?) strong enough to take home yet but think she will be this eve She was in very bad shape hope you are all well. Hugh, ?orsyth, Diane to see us last eve

I believe this to be from Ellen 'Ferguson' Smith wife of William and Elizabeth’s son Cyrus. I don’t have the names of Cyrus and Ellen's children but think Arline could be their daughter. I don't know the reason of the operation either.
