Has your neck ever got well?

Dear Brother
I will write you a few lines this because still on our feet hope it will find you all well. We had the miss fortune to loose Daisy last Monday.(* as you can see the corner of this card is missing I am not for sure if Daisy is the dog, mule, or cow but certainly a member of the family- even if she had four legs I know she did her part when it came to fetching or pulling or giving milk.) (* written around the outer upper corner) Alice will write Pa a letter before long(*This card had to be either from Maude or Alma)
