The next morning Jessica woke up and walked down into the 
kitchen.  She was surprised to see that Nicole and Kimberly weren't 
home.  Jessica poured herself a cup of coffee and then noticed a note 
that the girls had left for her.

     Nicole and I went to Sea World with Brian and Kevin.  We probably 
won't be back untill later this evening.  I'm sure you can find 
something around the house for dinner.  Don't wait up, we will be back 
late.

"Great!!  A whole day to myself, well not completely, Nick and I are 
going blading." Jess thought to herself.  Then she noticed the answering 
maching light blinking.  She hit the button.

"Hey Kiddo, it's me....Nick.  Duh!! As if you couldn't tell.  I'm gonna 
come over around 1.  See ya later sweet stuff." 
<P>
Then the next message came on.
<P>
"Hi Jessica......remember me!!  Yeah that's right, it's 
Amy....remember??  You better watch your back.....and get your hands of 
of Nicky."
<P>
Jessica stared at the answering machine in complete shock.  She was 
getting nervouse.
<P>
"How did she get this number?" Jessica said out loud.
<P>
Jessica got ready.  She put on her red and blue surfing shorts from Old 
Navy, and she put on a white v-neck t-shirt.  She met Nick outside the 
house.  He handed her B.J.'s blades, and her knee pads and elbow pads.
<P>
"Are you ok Jess?  You look like something is bothering you." Nick said 
as he tied up his blades.
<P>
"I'm fine....no actually I'm not fine.  Nick their was a message on my 
machine this morning.....it was from Amy, remember?  The girl from the 
concert......She told me I'd better watch my back, she said I should get 
my hands off of you." Jessica said.  Her knee starting to shake.  Nick 
placed his hand on her knee.

"Jess....maybe we should tell someone, like...oh....I don't know....the 
police."
<P>
"Do you think we should?  I mean.....I don't want to make a big deal out 
of this." Jess said.
<P>
"Well, don't worry....she won't hurt you, I promise you." Nick said as 
he kissed Jessica on the forhead.  He helped her up from the bench and 
they began skating to the park.
<P>
Nick and Jessica had been roller blading for about an hour and they were 
both beginning to get tired, so they decided to head back to Nick's 
house.
<P>
When they skated into their street, Nick noticed something that wasn't 
on the road before, their was tons of gravel that was spilled out 
everywhere.  Nick swivelled and swirled out of the way, but Jessica was 
behind him and didn't see it.
<P>
Her blades hit the gravel and lost complete control.  It was just like 
going over a torn up road in your car, but this was different because 
Jess had no control over herself.
<P>
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Jessica screamed as she hit the pavement with a 
thud, and rolled to the grass.
<P>
"JESS!!!!" Nick yelled.  He skated quickly over to her.  He leaned over 
her scraped and bloody body.  Nick quickly took of his skates and gently 
picked Jessica up and helped her inside his house.
