Cordelia is the queen of the school, probably the most popular, and even though she continually puts Buffy down, she's at least a semi-friend, she knows Buffy's secret... Cordelia is currently "seeing" Xander in secret, and she has a huge crush on Angel, and every other guy! Cordelia and Buffy tend to get into jams together a lot. Like when the frat guys kidnapped them, or when the invisible girl tried to kill them, geesh! tough life!
