Comfort Luddington


1740 - 1805



Comfort Luddington was born in Bedford, Westchester, New York in 1740/41 to Elisha and Abigail (Pierson) Luddington. Comfort Married Elizabeth Nickerson. Comfort and Elizabeth had the following children:

Comfort served in the French and Indian war in Captain Rea's company of New York Provisional Troops from May 1, 1760 to 1764. He also served as a Captain in the 4th New York Militia from Dutchess County, New York, during the Revolutionary War. After the war he and his family moved to Fishkill Township, Dutchess County, New York. It is here that he passed away. His will was probated on 12 September, 1805 in Fishkill.
