John Calvin Coolidge was the 30th President of the United States. I have seen several sites on the internet which claim that Calvin Coolidge is descended from Samuel Appleton. The information I have been able to find so far is:

Calvin Coolidge's father was John Calvin Coolidge (1845-1926), whose mother was Sarah Almeda Brewer (1823-1906), whose mother was Sally Brown, whose father was Israel P. Brown, whose mother was Priscilla Putnam, whose mother was Priscilla Baker, whose mother was Mary Capen, whose mother was Priscilla Appleton, whose father was John Appleton, who was the first son of Samuel Appleton and Judith Everhard.

According to this information, both Calvin Coolidge and I are 10 generations descended from Samuel Appleton. This makes Calvin Coolidge my ninth cousin.
