My name is Kumik Komatu. I live in Tama New Town, a commuter town in the northwest of Tokyo. The town has been developed by Housing and Urban Development Corporation since the 1970s. Before development this area was a mountain village. Parts of the woods have been left in a belt and spots. There are also many parks. Though it takes about I hour from center of Tokyo by train, I love this town. It's not crowded or busy. Green leaves are very beautiful in this season

I live with my husband, my son, my daughter, and a male rabbit. My children are adolescents. It is difficult for parents like us to keep the right distance from teenagers. Pets warm people's hearts. Our Netherlands Dwarf rabbit is cute and deepens our relationships.

Everybody in my family loves him very much.

I like playing tennis, gardening, watching films and going to the theater.

I enjoyed 'Romeo and Juliet' by Royal Shakespeare Company at the Globe Tokyo on the 5th of June. It was so impressive. I have been acquiring a taste for dramas little by little.
