about the author...

You learn to speak by speaking, to study by studying,
to run by running, to work by working; in just the
same way, you learn to love by loving.

St. Francis De Sales (1567-1622, Roman Catholic Bishop, Writer
)

I swear I was a gypsy in a former life, considering the number of times I've moved. Maybe just my feet have gypsy blood though - my heart is definitely a homebody, and I'm happiest when I'm with my loved ones, whether they be pets or people : ) My writing is important, but relationships are #1 in my life and my writing will always reflect that. I love the intricate, tenuous strands that hold people together. I appreciate difficulties and trials as tools of refinement. I can honestly and proudly say I wouldn't be the person I am today if it weren't for the things I've gone through and I like the girl/woman I see in the mirror each day. As I go through this life journey, I refuse to label myself as a victim. I am, and always will be, a seeker of beauty, truth, love - above all, a survivor. It is my hope that through my writing I can touch the hearts of others who may have had similar experiences and encourage them to take that next step. It's the most important one. It's the one that conquers fear and darkness and takes them into courage and light and *life*.

In Life & Love,

Rebecca
