BOOKS
Can you tell me the names of some HTML Reference books?
One title is: "HTML; The Definitive Guide", 2nd Edition
Publishing company: O'Reilly & Associates, Inc.
Cover price: $32.95
The URL for the company is:
http://www.ora.com/
They also offer books about Perl, CGI Programming, Java and just about anything you could want.

For JAVASCRIPT, I suggest
"The Way of Javascript"
http://rampages.onramp.net/~jnardo/javascript/zen.html
"The Complete Idiot's Guide to Javascript"

Does anyone know where I can find an easy-to-use manual so I can learn to make my own scripts?
Designing with Javascript: Creating Dynamic Web Pages by Nick Heinle
Published by O'Reilly and Associates
Website of Author: www.webcoder.com
Website of Publisher: www.ora.com
-- Webmaster, North Country
And I believe you can get it with a pretty good discount from the Barnes and Noble site, but I would check other book sites as well. (No discount for getting it from the O'Reilly's site, unfortunately)
Anyway, the book is easy to understand, has a lot of useful examples and Nick isn't even finished with High School yet.

While waiting for answers I did a little browsing and found a great online beginners-manual at:
http://www.calpoly.edu/~dpopeney/javascript.html
Javascript Made Easy
The site also includes a zip-file with the complete manual, so you can check it out off-line too.

SOURCES FOR BOOKS
I would suggest Amazon.com. I've had very good luck with the two or three orders I've placed with them. I'm pretty sure they'll ship overseas, but I don't know how the prices would be compared to buying locally for you.

Another good search for book sources is
