Admissions (HOW TO GET IN!)
The Caz College Admissions office is open from 8:30-5 PM Monday through
Friday. To arrange either a visit or an interview, contact the Admissions Office at 1-800-654-3210
First Time Applicants:
In order to be considered for admission, an applicant (that's you) must:
1-Submit an official (unlike this page) high school transcript
2-Submit either ACT or SAT scores (not necessary but they recommend it. So do I)
3-Graduate from high school or provide evidence of passing the GED
4-Be able to succeed academically at Caz, (even when that means living
at the Learning Center or other such tutoring services)
5-Submit an application form. (duh--wait, if you didn't guess this one--your chances of entrance are really low)
I'd like to add a few to that.
5-be living & breathing
6-Well, 6 used to be "be able to survive on cereal" but 727 (the dining hall) has gotten so much better that I don't live on cereal
anymore.... :-)
Transfer Students:
Cazenovia College welcomes transfer applications. In order for a student to be
considered for transfer admission, the applicant (again, that's YOU) must:
1-Submit official transcripts of all college level courses to the Admissions office.
Courses with a grade of "C" of better at a regionally accredited institution will normally will be
accepted for credit.
2-Submit an application form. (again, DUH! If you don't know this, you may be transfering from Community College)
3-Be able to succeed academically at Caz
4&5 are the same as 5&6 above.
International Students
All international students must demostrate ability to use the English language
in college-level work. A score of at least 550 on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is required.
All application and attendence fees are payable in United States currency. To apply:
1-Follow the procedure for first time students (above)
2-Send a copy of your academic record to the
Institute of International Education
809 United Nations Plaza
New York, NY 10017
and ask that an evaluation be sent to Cazenovia College
3-Caz cannot provide financial assistance of any kind to international
students. If accepted, an international student must provide proof that financial means are avainable to cover the
cost of transportation, room, board, tuition, fees, books, supplies, and personal expenses. This cost is estimated
to be around $18,100/year, US currency.
Legal Stuffs...
Cazenovia requires all freshman and sophmores to live on campus, except those
who live within commuting distance and residing with their families. Residence Hall space is available to those
upper division students who WISH to live on campus, but there is no requirement that they must. There IS now, Senior Co-op. This is
highly recommended for upper-division transfers. You live (mostly) on your own, with no RA and very little support staff. You can buy simple
meal plans, etc...for more info call the 800 number and ask for Karen Dlhosh
