La voix du bon dieu/Good God's Voice
(Eddy Marnay)
Words to comfort words for friendship
They're even more beautiful when we can sing them
It's a magic filter
That talent for the music
Is like a big gift
That sky made to us
We all have a little good god's voice
When we make people happy
We have our heart far from sorrow
When we sing well
That melody taken in the life
With a smile or two
As soon as it touches us
We better hear good god's voice
I would never have believed
That so many lost people
Are looking for known and unknown friends
Me with all the strength that future gives me
I want to give them another song
We all have a little good god's voice
When we make people happy
We have our heart far from sorrow
When we sing
We all have a little good god's voice
When we make people happy
We have our heart far from sorrow
When we sing well
That melody taken in the life
With a smile or two
As soon as it touches us
We better hear good god's voice
Au secours/Help
(Eddy Marnay)
In the papers
All the countries of the world
Seem in war
On the radio
We hear about it hour after hour
Saying that there's nothing to do
Me in this life
Where I have to make my spot under the sun
The night I have troubles
Alone falling finally asleep
And I'm often very afraid
Help I need lots of love
To understand what's happening around me
Help
Tell me that at least someday
People will make peace with each other and for ever
No more distance
Between countries of the world
No more borders, no more distrust
No more pain
One single goal in the heart
Between friends, between brothers
Help I need lots of love
To understand what's happening around me
Help
Tell me that at least someday
People will make peace with each other and for ever

L'amour viendra/Love Will Come
(Eddy Marnay)
Love will come
And who'll live will see
Tomorrow it far from my desires
My life is today
I have so many things to see
And so many things to do
The world's opening in front of me
I don't know yet where begins the earth
I don't know what I believe
I'm living in the circles of my pictures
I'm making flowers out of all the clouds
I discover with a new look
All the dreams of Marco Polo
Dreaming, singing, dreaming
Running after the summer
There it is there it is my only story
Love will come later
There it is there it is my only story
Love will come later
I have so many things to see
And so many things to do
My life is just beginning
I have musics in the depths of all my prayers
I have mountains to hope for
I am like a painter with new colors
I'm painting the world with a rainbow
And I want to steer all my boats
To the Monte Cristo island
Dreaming, singing, dreaming
Running after the summer
There it is there it is my only story
Love will come later
Autour de moi/Around Me
(Eddy Marnay)
I'm living in a very small village
Near a huge and marvelous river
An old house that doesn't have any age
Around me only happy people
From the morning at my wake up
My heart is full, full of songs
I'm turning around like a bee
I'm laughing and crying with no reason
Me I need soil and sun
A bit of rain like the flowers
All the seasons are alike for me
My live slowly goes by
From the morning at my wake up
My heart is full full of songs
I'm turning around like a bee
I'm laughing and crying with no reason
I'm living in a whirlwind of dreams
They look at me without understanding a thing
Me I'm going everyday in the merry-go-rounds
I come and go and do it again
From the morning at my wake up
My heart is full, full of songs
I'm turning around like a bee
I'm laughing and crying with no reason
I'm laughing and crying with no reason
Grand maman/Grandmother
(Eddy Marnay)
This day of clouds and rain
When for the heaven you left
Looking for a better world
I had my heart full of tears
While shaking over your closed grave
I put on a few roses
A child must suffer someday
I understood that it was my turn
Grand mother that I loved so much
You who was enjoying listening to me sing since already too long you're
not here anymore
To listen to me
And simply tell your name I sing this song for you
When you were visiting us
Always at the end of summer
For my pleasure you were telling
Your funny stories of the old days
In return I was singing to you
Some sweet songs you loved
You were a great Lady
Your smile was coming from your soul
Grand mother that I loved so much
You who was enjoying listening to me sing since already too long you're
not here anymore
To listen to me
And simply tell your name I sing this song for you
Ce n'était qu'un rêve/It was only a Dream
(Thérèse Dion / Jacques Dion, Céline Dion)
In a large enchanted garden
Suddenly I found myself
A harp and violins were playing
Angels in the sky were smiling to me
The wind was making sing the summer
I was walking with a so light tread
On a roses' petals carpet
A dove on my shoulder
A swallow in each hand
Pastel colors butterflies
It was only a dream
It was only a dream
But so beautiful that it was true
Like a day which is rising
It was only a dream
A smile on my lips
A smile that I have kept
After my dream is over
The sun and it's golden rays
Flowers were dancing at the same rhythm
White horses with wings
Were wanting to touch the sky
I was truly in fairyland
It was only a dream
It was only a dream
But so beautiful that it was true
Like a day which is rising
It was only a dream
A smile on my lips
A smile that I have kept
After my dream is over
It was only a dream
Seul un oiseau blanc/Only a white Bird
(Eddy Marnay)
Only a white bird
Knows the heart of the ocean
Yes only a white bird
Knows the wind
It went to all those here and all those there
Think of what it saw from up there in a few hours
I am like the sea like a country from elsewhere
Only a white bird
Knows my heart
Only a white bird
Speak to me about my soul
Only a white bird
Knows me truly
I can tell him all
The craziest of my thoughts
That would make smile people at home
He's my friend
I'm not afraid of speaking to him
He'll keep the name of my secret for himself
I am like the sea like a country from elsewhere
Only a white bird
Knows my heart
Only a white bird
Speak to me about my soul
Only a white bird
Knows me truly

The cat on the carpet have very much fun
Near the fire which dances, the armchair is rocking
And rocks your asleep father
Your mother without saying a word
Finishes to fold your trousseau
Your father will know tomorrow, after the dance
That a mariage costs lots of efforts

Les roses blanches/The White Roses
(Eddy Marnay)
It was a kid a boy from Paris
His sole family was his mother
A poor girl with big faded eyes
By sorrow and misery
She loved flowers, especially roses
And the belowed child, on Sundays
Was bringing her some white roses
Instead of buying toys for himself
Caressing her tenderly
He was saying while giving them to her
"Today it's Sunday
Here my beautiful mom
Here are some white roses
You who love them so much
Go when I'll grow old
I will buy from the store
All of his white roses
For you beautiful mommy"
On last spring brutal destiny
Came hitting the blonde worker
She became ill and for the hospital
The boy saw his mother leave
A morning of April among the walkers
Not having anymore a single penny in his pocket
On the market the poor boy
Furtively stole some flowers
The florist (woman) having caught him, lowering his eyes he told her
"Today it's Sunday
And I was going to visit mommy
I took those white roses
She love them so much
On her little white bed
In there she's waiting for me
I took those white roses
For my beautiful mommy"
The touched merchant told him softly "Have them I give them to
you"
She kissed him and he left
All shinning that he was forgiven
Then to the hospital he came running
To offer the flowers to his mother
But seeing him a nurse
Told him: "You no longer have a mommy"
And the boy kneeling down told in front of the little white bed
"Today it's Sunday
Here my beautiful mom
Here are some white roses
You who loved them so much
And when you'll leave
To the great garden up there
Those beautiful white roses
You'll bring them along"
