1.In Leviticus 10:1, 2 Nadab and Abihu offered incense with fire which
the Lord commanded them not and fire came out of the altar and consumed
them. They changed the worship from that which the Lord commanded them
and were punished. Today the Lord says to us "teaching and admonishing
one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace
in your hearts to the Lord." (Col. 3:16) To also play with pianos or
organs would be changing the worship. Nadab and Abihu could have argued
"the Lord didn't tell us we couldn't offer this strange fire", just like
people today say "the Lord didn't tell us we couldn't use instruments."
When the Lord gives us a command he doesn't have to add a bunch of
"cant's" so we could understand not to substitute something else. He just
didn't do things that way. The positive command to sing negates any other
way of carrying on the praise service.

  2.Adding instrumental music is going beyond the command of the New
Testament to "sing." (Eph. 5:19, Col. 3:16) Notice "Whosoever transgresseth,
and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth
in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son." (2 John 9)
Since instrumental music is going beyond the command to sing then those
who put it in their worship do not abide in the doctrine of Christ and
so do not have God. There can be no fellowship between God and a worship
that is carried on with the use of instrumental music.

  3.Instrumental music is added because men want it and are pleased with
it in worship. Therefore it is a teaching of men. Notice: "But in vain
they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."
(Mat. 15:9) Those who use instrumental music in their worship are
worshipping God in vain. There is no authority under the New Testament
for the use of mechanical instruments of music in worship. If you people
in denominationalism  want to please God, you are going to have to leave
off your instruments of music and start singing as the Lord commands you
to do in Ephesians 5:19 and Colossians 3:16.

  4.Denominations of men practice many things according to the tradition
of men including instrumental music in their worship. Notice: "Every
plant, which my Heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up."
(Matt. 15:13) It is sad to think about going to the judgment with a record
of worshipping according to the commandments of men. Jesus said that
such institutions will be rooted up. Dear friends, why not go back to
the simple worship as was done in the early church. Jesus and his disciples
sang an hymn and went out of the upper room. (Mat. 26:30)

  5.Why do men use instrumental music in their worship? Because they want
to be entertained and they sincerely think that the Lord is pleased with
them as long as they praise him. But worship is not entertainment. Jesus
said the Father seeks for men to worship him in spirit and in truth. 
(John 4:23) For worship to be in spirit and in truth it must be 
(A) That which is due a sovereign God; (B) It must edify the worshippers;
and (C) It must be according to the scriptures. Worship is defined as
Reverence paid to Deity in thoughts and actions. We need to do what God
has ordained that we do in worship- and one item is that we sing. God
has not ordained that we play on instruments in worship.

  6.Adding instruments of music to the worship is another gospel. Notice:
"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto
you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."
(Gal. 1:8) Dear religious friends, we beg of you, please take them out
of your worship as they are unauthorized in the gospel and the curse of
God rests upon you for using them.

  7.The early Christians were steadfast in the "apostles doctrine" 
(Acts 2:42) The apostles doctrine does not contain the authority of using
instrumental music in worship. Therefore, those using them today are not
continuing in the Apostles doctrine. Singing is in the apostles doctrine
in I Cor. 14:15, Col. 3:16, Eph.5:19,  Rom. 15:9, and Heb. 2:12. Dear 
friends, be content to abide in the apostles doctrine by just singing
in your worship. THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS.
