Liz is in her room, she is putting one of the cassettes in her stereo, the other one she is holding.She hears a knock on her window, it's Lucky. She opens the window and Lucky comes in.

Liz:HI

Lucky:HI...COULD I SEE THAT?(he is pointing at the cassette in her hand)

Liz:WHAT?

Lucky:UM..IS THAT..IS THAT THE CASSETTE I GAVE YOU? BECAUSE I LOST THE OTHER ONE AND I WENT BACK TO KELLY'S AND I COULDN'T FIND IT.

Liz:I THOUGHT YOU WERE SO MAD AT ME YOU COULD BARELY STAND TO LOOK AT ME.

Lucky:I NEVER SAID THAT!

Liz:AND NOW YOU COME KNOCKING AT MY DOOR TO TALK ABOUT CASSETTES??

Lucky:COULD I JUST SEE IT PLEASE? COME ON! ELIZABETH, I'M NOT KIDDING! COME ON ELIZABETH!

(Liz is holding the cassette and Lucky is trying to get it but she keeps turning away,Liz is on her bed with her knees bent and Lucky is on top of her. they suddenly pause looking at each other embarrassed, Lucky gets off)

Lucky:I'M SORRY

Liz:LUCKY, IT'S OKAY! (she stands up and gives him the cassette) HERE.

Lucky:(Looks at the cassette and gives it back to her thinking that he must have lost the other cassette) IT'S THE RIGHT ONE... UM, I'M SORRY I BUGGED YOU SO LATE AT NIGHT.

(He starts to leave and Elizabeth plays the cassette in the stereo)

(a guitar stars to play) "ELIZABETH...GO TO SLEEP,I WANT TO HEAR YOU BREATHE.."

Liz:(she looks at him and he is embarrassed) THAT'S YOU.

"I WANT TO FEEL GOD'S PEACE, ALL I WANT IS THIS, ELIZABETH"

(scene ends with them just staring at each other listening)

SCENE 2

(They are just looking at each other)

"ALL I WANT IS THIS, ELIZABETH... AS YOU KNEEL BESIDE YOUR BED TONIGHT, KEEP A LITTLE PRAYER FOR ME INSIGHT, ELIZABETH."

(song finishes, she stops the tape)

Lucky:WELL NOW YOU KNOW WHAT I DIDN'T WANT YOU TO HEAR, WHY I DIDN'T WANT YOU TO HEAR IT. I'M NOT A SINGER, I'M NOT A SONGWRITER OR A MUSICIAN.

Liz:(interupts) HOW CAN YOU EVEN SAY THAT?? I'VE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING SO.... SO BEAUTIFUL!

Lucky: I THINK IT NEEDS WORK.

Liz:THAT WAS YOU PLAYING THE GUITAR TOO?

Lucky:YEAH IT'S SUMMERTIME, I GOT TIME ON MY HANDS, WHAT AM I GOING TO DO, TEACH MY SELF LATIN? IT'S NOT LIKE I WAS GONNA KEEP IT A SECRET, I JUST WANTED IT TO BE PERFECT.

Liz:IT IS PERFECT (she takes it out of the cassette,and Lucky brings his hand out to take it but Liz brings her hand away) DO YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK?

Lucky:"HAVE TO"?

Liz:CAN I KEEP THIS??

Lucky:ELIZABETH, I CAN DO A BETTER ONE.

Liz:I WANT THIS ONE

Lucky:OKAY

Liz: OKAY......THANKS

(they are just gazing into each others eyes for a minute, looking like they are about to kiss.)

Lucky:I UH, BETTER GO BEFORE YOUR GRANDMOTHER HEARS ME.

Liz:ARE YOU STILL MAD? (Lucky starts to leave) UH, LUCKY??

Lucky:(he is outside of the window) YEAH?

Liz:GOOD NIGHT.

Lucky:GOOD NIGHT

(lucky leaves, liz closes the window and holds the tape and smiles.)
