John Longbrake..., assisted his father in the work of the homestead in Virginia until the time of his marriage to Caroline Baylis. He then rented a tract of land...until the fall of 1861, when he removed to Logan County, Ohio and settled on a farm of ninety-six acres north of Logansville. This was given to him by his father. Unto John Lonbrake and his wife were born sixteen children - per Historical Review of Logan County, Ohio - 1903

"On This Rock: The story of St. Peter's Church, Shepherdstown 1765-1965" by Gladys Hartzell. An article in this book states that Pastor Joseph A. Seiss baptised siz children of John and Caroline on 26 December 1845...
