Sony to peddle Hendrix songs

Sony/ATV Music Publishing has signed a long-term, exclusive agreement
with Experience Hendrix Llc. to subpublish the songs and compositions of
Jimi Hendrix outside the United States.
"We are very pleased and proud that the Hendrix family has entrusted Jimi's
compositions to our care," said Richard Rowe, president of Sony/ATV Music
Publishing. "We intend to raise the profile of his songs, which are among
the most powerful and respected in popular music, and further his
extraordinary legacy."
The Hendrix deal includes such well-known songs as "Castles Made of Sand,"
"Crosstown Traffic," "Foxey Lady," "Little Wing," "Purple Haze," "Red
House," "Voodoo Chile," "The Wind Cries Mary" and many others.
