1 cup flour
1.5 tsp baking powder
1 Tbsp
Dash of salt
1 cup cold water or milk
vegetable oil
paper bag or paper towels

Mix first 4 ingredients, add water or milk; stir until mixed, dough will be sticky.
Add a little more flour; knead for about 10 seconds on a lightly floured surface.
Pat down into an oval shape; cut out 6 to 8 pieces.
Preheat 1 inch oil in a frying pan just below medium heat.
Cook bannock in oil, turning over when brown.
Put in paper bag or wrap in paper towels when done.
