Hi,
I am looking for any info at all about "BARRY & DOYLE". JOHN BERNARD BARRY was my great-grandfather. He lived in, BROOKLYN, NEW YORK & used to travel by train to acting jobs--upstate ,NEW YORK, ? LONG ISLAND? He supposedly did " blackface" routines. He ended his act when he got married, in 1891. Would love to learn more about his career. Katt516

Disappeared from JOHNSTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA, on JUNE, 04, 1918, with RINGLING BROS. CIRCUS, (age 13).Parents names were MARY and JOE COSTANTINO. Brothers and sisters names are; CARMELA, MARY, JOSEPHINE, CHARLES, TENA, TRESA, MICHAEL, and FRANK. SAM was born in SICILY, ITALY, and came to the UNITED STATES, at age 2. CIRCUS'S MINNESOTA
Where can I get a list of those circuses in business at the turn of the century,in southern MINNESOTA? Any ideas? Specifically any circus, that may have come to CHASKA,MINNESOTA, or nearby, in 1895?

"BIG JIM" PATTERSON
Does anyone have information on "BIG JIM" PATTERSON. He was a great uncle of mine, who died in 1920. All I know is he traveled with RINGLING BROTHERS/ BARNUM & BAILEY CIRCUS as the "TALLEST MAN IN THE WORLD". "BIG JIM" WAS 8'4" tall. According to pictures on a flyer I was given, he sometimes dressed as a woman in his act. He wore size 22 shoes. I can't remember anything else-assuming I was told anything else. I only found this information when I met a cousin during one of my genealogy trips to ARKANSAS.

If anyone has unformation, or knows where I can find something out, please let me know. I would appreciate learning more about him.
