Loretta Young Photographs

This is a non-profit Web site sponsored by fans of Loretta Young (1913-2000). It is dedicated to providing information on one of the greatest actresses of all time (and my personal favorite). Winner of the 1947 Best Actress Academy Award, Miss Young starred in one hundred movies and hundreds of television series' episodes spanning the golden ages of Hollywood. Even more important, she was a woman of great religious faith, serving as an example to others during her working years and performing countless acts of charity during her retirement.

The thing that pleases me most about this site is that Miss Young was able in her last years to view the letters and tributes to her. They represent only a tiny fraction of the millions of people throughout the world who are better off for having known of Loretta Young. In a June 7, 1998 letter, Miss Young said, "As to the letters, the information on the Internet - I'm delighted and honored you feel I'm worth it. It might continue to help others."

Yes, Miss Young, the example of your life has been an inspiration for millions of us. For this, we will never cease to thank you!
