The Green Ship

The Green Ship has 10 decks that can be accessed by the crew. The upper deck is deck 1 and the lower deck is deck 10. There are additional aerodynamic mouldings and structural areas, none of which are maintained by the life support system and are not designed for crew access, in any case. Currently, only the habitable areas are displayed in the deck plans - the actual outer shell border will be placed in the near future, as will regular views from port, starboard, forward, aft, above and below. Each deck has a number of components which are common to all the decks, and are found in exactly the same position on every deck. These common items are: elevator #1 (EL-1), elevator #2 (El-2), climbing tube #1 (T-1), climbing tube #2 (T-2), primary life support system access node (LS-1), backup life support system access node (LS-2), emergency life support system access node (LS-3), primary RiF generator access node (RiF-1), backup RiF generator access node (RiF-2), Command & Control Access node (CnC) and a tool box (Tool Box). Each square on the deck plans, in both the large and small versions, represents an area of 1m by 1m, with a height of 3m. Sections of the ship that exist on more than one deck are considered to pass through any deck areas where these sections are adjacent (such as the some parts of the TBD on decks 1 and 2) - it is possible to move vertically through these sections. Doors, internal fittings and equipment are not indicated on the plans. There is only one airlock. It is located in the vehicle bay (decks 9-10). Access to the outside is possible only through the airlock the vehicle bay and the cargo bay. The pallets on deck 9 cannot be accessed from inside the ship

Deck 1

Deck 1 is the uppermost deck of the ship. It houses the top turret, containing 4 Mk.10 lasers with a 360° arc of fire. The EW suite covering the area above the ship, the Astronomy Lab and the primary Microfrequency radio are positioned on this deck. Part of the Tacheon-Beam Dictor is also found on this deck.

Deck 2

Deck 2 houses the top Screen generator and the Genetics Lab. Part of the Tacheon-Beam Dictor is also found on this deck.

Deck 3

Deck 3 houses the EW generators covering the port, starboard, forward and aft areas of the ship. Also found here are the Metallurgy Lab, the primary computer, the emergency life support system, that part of the SENSORs responsible for the rear hemisphere and the bridge. Part of the Tacheon-Beam Dictor and part of the TransLight Drive are on this deck.

Deck 4

Deck 4 has the Botany Lab, the crew's quarters, the passenger's quarters and the recreational facilities. Part of the TransLight Drive, part of the fusion reactor, part of the port Screen generator and part of the starboard Screen generator are located on this deck.

Deck 5

Deck 5 houses the aft turret, containing 4 Mk.10 lasers with a 360° arc of fire, as well as the primary RiF generator. Part of the TransLight Drive, part of the fusion reactor, part of the port Screen generator and part of the starboard Screen generator are located on this deck.

Deck 6

Deck 6 houses the forward turret, containing 4 Mk.10 lasers with a 360° arc of fire, the Anthropology Lab, the Zoology Lab, the primary life support system and the reactor fuel tank. Part of the TransLight Drive and part of the SubLight Drive are located on this deck.

Deck 7

Deck 7 contains the Planetology Lab, the backup computer, the backup RiF generator and the Tight-Beam laser communication system. Part of the TransLight Drive and part of the SubLight Drive are located on this deck.

Deck 8

Deck 8 has the forward Screen generator, the aft Screen generator, the Medical Lab, Sickbay, 10 cryotubes and the backup life support system. Part of the SubLight Drive and part of the forward SENSRs are located on this deck.

Deck 9

Deck 9 contains 4 Mk.30 pallets (facing forward) and the backup Microfrequency radio. Part of the forward SENSRs, part of the landing gear, part of the workshop, part of the vehicle bay and part of the cargo bay are located on this deck.

Deck 10

Deck 10 houses the bottom turret, containing 4 Mk.10 lasers with a 360° arc of fire, the bottom Screen generator and the bottom EW generator. Part of the workshop, part of the vehicle bay and part of the cargo bay are located on this deck.
