| ALF-1 has been identified by the group, with 'local' assistance, as a parasite. It is most comfortable in a fluorine environment, but can also tolerate the conditions abord the ship. It is sometimes found with ALF-2. Exactly what ALF-1 consumes is not quite clear. However, it seems to ignore people who do not move swiftly or aggressively. It moves by floating through the air. |
Alien Life Form 2

| ALF-2 has been identified by the group, with 'local' assistance, as an aggressive parasite. It is most comfortable in a fluorine environment, but can also tolerate the conditions abord the ship. It is sometimes found with ALF-1. It is aggressive, and has attacked without provocation. Its method of attack is to fly/jump on its victim and thereafter to entagle/crush it. Attacks against humans have caused only minor damage, the claws at the ends of the tentacles being the most serious weapon. However, when an ALF-2 is punctured, it can explode, causing shrapnel damage to those close by. ALF-2s move by floating and jumping through the air. |
Methane Whale

| The Methane Whale is a large, slow moving, docile, perhaps mindless creature shaped approximately like that of an almost deflated weather balloon. The single Whale encountered measured 200m across, 200m wide and 50m high, and travelled at a 4 km/h pace. It is a nebulous beast, akin to the terrestrial jellyfish in body density relative to the environment.. It moves in a slithering motion across the ground. Because of its low density, it leaves no sign of its passing, save for a swath of atmosphere filtered of all contaminants (party members stood upright and unharmed when passed over by a Whale). What they filters, and why, are as yet a mystery. The Metahne Whale may move in groups - the encountered Whale was one of a cluster of at least three. These Whales appeared to be pursued by smaller, more conventional creatures using technology and equipment on vessels called Methane Whaleboats. |
