| Whylh-Bhuurr was encountered in a methane environment. Whylh-Bhuurr is an ammonia breather that prefers an atmospheric temperatures of -50 C. They have the ability to reduce their body energy signature to almost undetectable levels. The creature presents itself as a formless mass, using an articulated 'pod' for locomotion. The pods are capable of swift ground movement and can fly at a high rate of speed. They travel longer distances in externally featureless round-ended cylinders, which have the shape of a hotdog. These vehicles can be disintegrated in an instant, by a process as yet unwitnessed. Whylh-Bhuurr claim to cluster in large groups. They may be creatures with a collective intelligence - information conveyed to one Whylh-Bhuurr appears to be instantly available to all nearby Whylh-Bhuurr. They claim to be persecuted/hunted by the Ballooonians. When approached by Methane Whales, they hid. When approached by Methane Whalers, they fled. Their only tool every seen is a high-radiation output scanner, dangerous to humans. They appear interested in obtaining information from humans, but precisely what information and for what purpose is unknown. |
| This creature appears to be a multi-segmented insectoid. A number were detected onboard the Methane Whaleboat (insert link to 'Equipment - Methane Whaleboat'). They have three body segments, each having its own pair of limbs. Each segment is connected to both of the other segments, resulting in an equilateral triangle form. Small protrusions and antennae/whiskers are scattered over the upper surfaces of all three segments. 1/3 of the way up each limb is a small, 20-30 digit, grasping manipulator, used to hold items and manipulate equipment (a single manipulator could easily tied a shoelace). These creatures mass between 25 and 100 kg, and are between 1.5 and 2.5 m per side. They move in a slow-motion spinning pattern, continually replacing the frontmost 'leg' with it's adjacent 'leg' (both clockwise and counter-clockwise motion have been observed). Pht'dTryhl encountered in methane do not appear to be wearing environmental suits, but an artificial pouch/pack can be seen suspended beneath the junction point of the three segments. Many varieties of tools, perhaps weapons, has been seen in their manipulators. They are VERY quick to snatch or grab objects within their grasp. They can also jump and catch very well. Although they fired upon the party's Green Ship, they do not show signs of belligerence. |
