Special Rules for the Vampire: The Masquerade game

Note: These rules are constantly evolving. Do not assume that you are necessarily reading the most up to date version. An up to date copy of these rules will be provided upon request.

1. Any player entering the game will do so as space becomes available. If no such spaces exist, they will stay on the waiting list and will join on a first come first serve basis. Any player currently playing who loses a character or who chooses to change characters will remain in the game and will not have to re-apply.

1.1 A player may only have a total of two characters at a time. I understand that occasionally one might want a change and to then come back to the first character and I will allow that but as soon as a third character enters the game, on eof the previous two must either die or become a permanently storyteller controlled character.

1.2 To change characters, I must be notified at least a month in advance and I must approve. Without my approval, no change can be made. Any player deliberately killing a character to get around this rule may face expulsion from the group.

1.3 If a character is killed, I have the right to delay the introduction of the new character until a convenient and non disruptive time.

2. Before entering the game, I must approve the character chosen by the player. I reserve the right to reject any character that I feel would be disruptive to gameplay, my storyline or who would not fit in with the other characters. I will help players come up with characters that are more likely to be accepted if I have the time but it is not my responsibility and repeated difficulties will result in the movement one place back on the waiting list.

3. It is important to note that in cases of dispute, it is my view of the world and rules that takes precedence over anything published by white-wolf. Anything published online does not exist until I have sufficient time to properly review it and I will reject anything that does not fit in this game. This especially applies to bloodlines and clans. Any requests for the discipline Blowshitupus, Thaumooturgy or similar internet stupidities will result in the immediate rejection of any future requests.

4. All new characters must have detailed histories including sires, goals, beliefs and loyalties. Any characters embraced in Montreal must consult with me before creating or choosing a sire.

5. I reserve the right to reject any player if their lack of experience would cause problems for my storyline. Any player rejected for that reason would remain on the waiting list at their previous position until such a time that their lack of experience will be less disruptive.

6. Any player who I see as overly disruptive to the game will be issued one warning. After that warning, if the player is still disruptive, they will face expulsion from the group.

6.1 Wither or not someone is disruptive is entirely my decision. I do not have to justify my decision.

6.2 If players find another player disruptive, they can inform me PRIVATELY but this should not be done during the session.

7. Non playing observers are allowed to attend game sessions however, if they are disruptive or if there is a lack of space for players, they will be asked to leave.

8. Crickets are expressly forbidden from any game session. Possession of any without my explicit permission may result in expulsion from the group.
