Wanna Hear Something Funny?

Tonight on my way home from work I decided to stop at Aimee's house because I saw her porch light on, and I figured she was awake. So, I got out of my car, went inside, grabbed a little bite to eat, and chit-chatted for a while. I then decided it was time to leave, so I said my goodbyes, and went out to my van. Only then did I realize that I locked my keys in my car. Of course, I have a spare set, but they were in my purse, which was in my car as well. I had absolutely no way to get in my car, until Aimee's mom Lisa got the idea to use a wire hanger kinda like a slimjim. At first, the lock wouldn't budge. Then. lo and behold, the lock popped up!! I could go home......except for the fact that the hanger is , to this moment, stuck inside my door. I am still laughing about this as I write this. It's just too funny. So now I get to drive around with a hanger hanging out my door, until I get someone to rip the panel off my door and get the damn hanger out. Of course, I feel no resentment towards Lisa, she got my car unlocked. It wasn't her fault, it was just a matter of chance. I'm actually grateful to her. This event raises an important question that many people ask themselves every day...what if? What if I wouldn't have stopped at Aimee's? I wouldn't have a hanger in my car door. And I also would've been home an hour and a half earlier. Or, what if I would've taken my keys inside with me...same answer. The point that I am trying to make is that the question "what if?" is utterly useless. Actually, it pisses me off! While I'm thinking about what could've been, the hanger is still hanging outside my door!! The moral of the story is that you should never ask yourself, "What if...," because you can't go back in time to change your mistakes. It just makes you more depressed and angry at yourself.
