The CSMS Cougar Band offers instructional music education to students of all levels - from beginning to advanced. The 6th grade beginner band lays the groundwork to be a successful musician for years to come. The 7th and 8th grade bands have earned consistently superior ratings at the Sandy Lake Band Festival. The numbers of students who have won individual honors through All-District auditions, Centex Honor Band auditions, and solo/ensemble contest have increased tremendously in the past ten years. There are currently over 200 middle school students currently participating in the instrumental music program on the middle school campus. All levels of band perform concerts and other programs for the China Spring community. June Campell is the Middle School Band Director. The China Spring Band Booster Organization is open to all persons who are interested in the Band Programs 6-12 of CSISD.
