1 cup sugar 4 tbsp. cornstarch 1 cup water 3 tbsp. dry strawberry jello few drops of red food coloring 3 pts. fresh strawberries 9" pie shell 1) Mix sugar and cornstarch well first in saucepan. (It avoids lumps.) 2) Add water. Boil until clear and thick, stirring constantly. 3) Take off heat and add: 3 tbsp. dry strawberry jello and a few drops of red food coloring. Mix well. 4) Arrange 3 pts. fresh strawberries in a baked and cooled 9" pie shell, reserving 9. 5) Pour cooked mixture evenly over berries. Refrigerate until cool. 6) Cover first mixture with 1 small tub Cool Whip (defrosted). Garnish with reserved strawberries (1 in center and 8 around the edges). Refrigerate until serving.
