Making a simple web page with notepad

Study these codes. If you use them, then you can make a web page.
HTML
HEAD
TITLE Documents /TITLE
/HEAD

/BODY
/HTML
HTML = the beginning code
HEAD = the heading
TITLE Documents /TITLE = the title of the document
/HEAD = the end of the header

/BODY = the end of the body
/HTML = the end of the page
There are other codes to work with, of course, but this is the beginning.

This code BODY bgcolor="#ffffff" in brackets tells the computer to make the page white. (Got a color chart from the web.)

The BR in brackets is a break. The HR a line. Strong is the same as bold in WP. I is to make italics.
Save this in notepad as (name.htm). Then if your system is like mine, it will open up as a very simple web page. You have to have the HTML at the beginning. And you have to end it. The forward Slash ends it. I can also imbed sound and make links. And, no, I haven't had years to perfect it. I've only worked with it since Jan. 16, 1997 (and today is Feb 21, 1997).
I work full time and only get to work on it at night. No fancy editor - only use notepad. (Have to learn those codes..but, hey..COOL!) But I've worked with Oracle Book and WP and learned the codes....And if you'd look at my web page , you'll see animation.. I could go on but...And, hey, I've always been willing to share. A weakness? H-m-m. Maybe..

Just remember each statement must start with a bracket and end with a bracket. This is a very simple web page but it is a start.

My Quote

Since I originally did the web page on Feb 21, 1997 at simple web page, I have been able to update it with more information. Therefore I am leaving both in so that you can see the difference.
