Dadawa or Zhu Zeqin won the best singer award in China a few years ago. While most people will pack their bags and gone off to China or Taiwan. Dadawa chose to go to Tibet.

She released her debut album a year later and it was from her debut album that I was introduced to her powerful voice. Her debut album 'Sister Drum' did very well considering that it's not your run of the mill production which most Asian stars are famed for.

The album was a masterpiece. For once in my lifetime, praises poureed forth from my mouth praising an Asian artiste. The album was that good!

Dadawa is different not only in terms of music but also in fashion. She was dressed in Tibetan costumes. Most Chinese female artistes tend to go overboard in their fashion sense and their antics. But she managed to stay away from all that.

While her contemporaries, shaved their heads, their eyebrows and wore clothers that even Madonna (the singer) would not have the guts to wear, she prevailed over all of them by just being her and being so covered up.

I tried to upload one of her songs on my home page to let all of you hear that powerful voice of hers but after recording it I realized that it's well over 6 MB (7MB) to be exact. Since I'm only allowed 2 MB of space. I couldn't upload it.

And because of that I'm decdicating a page to her. I'm here to extol this wonderful singer.
