This site is dedicated in memory of my Mother, who taught me more about life then I'll ever remember.

And also in memory of The Real Don Steele and Robert W. Morgan; they both understood how to connect with their listeners. (As Robert W. said, "Just don't smoke, okay?")

Curl The Pearl's Page

Hello, they call me "The Pearl." (The name comes from my deejay days in college when I stole the name from the NBA's Earl "The Pearl" Monroe.) I was born and raised in San Francisco. I grew up in the Haight-Ashbury during the "hippie" years though my family was not part of the "Free Love Movement." I graduated from Riordan High in San Francisco and attended Contra Costa College and San Francisco State University. I am single and currently reside in Vacaville, which is about fifty miles northeast of San Francisco and about 30 miles southwest of Sacramento. I am an avid collector of music. Especially, hit songs from the 60's, 70's and 80's, though I enjoy music from all genres and eras.As a former DJ, I am also a radio lover and love to collect promotional items from radio stations. Oldies stations with good playlists are my current favorite format. I also enjoy classic rock oldies stations such as KSAN in San Francisco and The Eagle in Sacramento. Check out this link:

Here's the Radio News!

The famous KFRC calls are now online!

I'll be adding more links to radio sites in the future. I collect airchecks as well. My two favorite DJs are Charlie Tuna and the late Real Don Steele. If you especially love Top 40 Radio of the 60's and 70's as I do, try this link:

As for music, I love obscure hits and "one-hit wonders!" If you know who sang "Sad Sweet Dreamer" then you know where I'm coming from. If you like to comment or have a suggestion click below to email me.

My number one serious passion is photography. I have been fortunate to have some of my photos published. In 1994 and 1995, I participated in Ujena Swimwear's Bikini Jam. That was a unique and fun experience and I encourage any photographer who wants to break into swimwear or glamour photography to take advantage of the opportunities these kind of events present.

The equipment that I use is made by Pentax; I have also used Nikon equipment as well. To view my photos go HERE!
