FINDING THE PERFECT ONE
Patience, patience, patience. It can never be stressed enough. Everywhere you go, everything you do, every decision you make, you weigh your options carefully before choosing. You comparison shop for groceries, why would you do any less when offering or accepting a collar. It really pays off to take your time. You need to know yourself and what you are looking for. You need to know your limits and what kind of commitment you are willing to make. You need to know what turns you on, what are you into.
You need to know all of these things and be able to discuss them with whomever you are considering. As in any relationship you must be up front and honest about your wants and needs. Anything less with cause problems later on.
A major mistake can occur when someone offers or accepts a collar too soon. Or does not give enough thought as to what’s involved. When trying to find a long term partner you need to sit down and really talk about what that collar means to both of you. You need to discuss what the confines of the relationship will be. What you expect to give and what you expect to receive in return. What are your goals in the relationship and what do you need to do to achieve them. Why do you want the relationship in the first place.
All of this needs to be discussed. To be able to have an honest caring relationship with another person, both have to know what the other feels and wants. You have to talk honestly about yourself and be able to give that person respect and trust and they have to respect and trust you.
