| And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him (1 Joh. 5:14,15).
A few years back, I had a desire on my heart. I really would like to know, how it would be to be in the presence of Jesus. So each night in my prayer, before I went to sleep, I asked God from my heart to give me this experience. Then one night, I don’t know if I was asleep or if I was awake, I did see a view of a sahara dessert, with sand mountains. Then suddenly 2 meters in front of me, there stood a man in traditional nomade clothing. His face was covert and wrapped in with sjawls, for protecting against the sandstorms. Slowly He began to uncover His face. First I did see His eyes; which were so beautiful, then His whole face was shown, and instantly I knew this was Jesus standing there. I did not recognize Him, but in a way I knew. My first thought was: "What can I say"? Then a voice which came in my thoughts was: "You don’t have to say anything"! Jesus only stretched out His arms, I moved forward, and our Lord Jesus held me in His tender arms. Oh, dear readers, how can I explain to you what I experienced, so wonderous, heavenly peace, words aren’t enough to describe. It’s like the Bible tells us in the book of Revelation: "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and] [be] their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Rev. 21:3,4).
The next morning I awake, it was so clear for me, God has answered my prayer. I’m so thankful to Him, and feel really not worthy, but Jesus is the glory and honour for ever, amen.
Note: 3 months later I did see a brand new advertising spot from ‘Mazda’, with the same dessert background and a man uncovering his face (but this was a mortal man, and not Jesus). Then my sister phoned me, who I had told this dream and said to me: "Brother, I just did see your dream on television"!
Another note: A few months further, I bought a CD from the Dutch Evangelist TV Station here in Holland. The CD contains praise & worship songs, written by Rolof Mulder. I listened to the songs, and suddenly in the Lyrics there was the following text: "Jesus I love you so much. With your arms streched out, your love is looking at me. I come to you, You are holding me, I’m close at your brest".

Hold stedvastly, to our Lord, our God, till He comes!
