Fox -- Oreamnos americanus

- Average Weight: 150 - 300 lbs.
- Peak Weight: 500 lbs.
- Characteristics: Red foxes have different colors at four phases- red, silver, black and a cross phoase (black and red together.)
Gray fox are gray on top with red and white underneath.
- Diet: Foxes consists of small creatures (snakes, rodents, birds) vegetation, nuts, berries and insects.
- Habitats and Distribution: Red fox are located in al of Canada but the extreme north, all over United States except for
the southwest and parts of the west. Gray fox are in the southern, eastern and parts of western United States and down through Mexico.
