Orbits: an electroacoustic sound installation by Densil Cabrera

Six spherical loudspeakers were suspended in the installation space.

Real-time computer generated sound was sent to each of the speakers, controlled by the HC-11 MIDI tool box computer created by Greg Schiemer.

The six suspended objects 'listened' to the sound of each other, and adapted their own sound in response.

Orbits was installed in the Art Gallery of New South Wales (Sydney) in 1991.
