TOP 10 DREAMCAST GAMES

Now that I have a few more games in the collection, I can FINALLY make a true Top 10. here goes!

10. Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles: An ok Star Wars game, this one sadly suffers the same problems that the Playstation version does, the play control is a little wonky, but it could be much worse.
9. Gundam Side Story: You just KNEW there had to be a Gundam game on this list!! Albeit incredibly short, this game is still fun!
8. Nester: A Nintendo emulator for the Dreamcast, comes equipped with 100's of old school NES games. If you can find it, by all means get it!
7. Quake 3: Have it on the PC, loved it, and now I have it on the Dreamcast, and it's just as good!
6. Soul Calibur: Not a HUGE fan of fighting games (mostly cuz I suck at them lol), but this one I like. It's pretty solid. I'll wind up getting SC 2 on the Cube or PS2!
5. Unreal Tournament: One of my all time favorite, FPS, not worrying about the story, "If it moves shoot it" kind of games. Another one of my classic PC favorites (ie Quake 3)
4. NFL 2K1: I wasn't a really HUGE fan of football games, until I busted into this one! Very easy to get into, a lot of fun, really good game even though it's 4 years out of date!
3. NBA 2K1: I enjoy this game just as much as NFL 2K1, just as easy to get into, the big tiebreaker being the fact that basketball was always one of my more fave sports!
2. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2: I am just now finding out what I missed out on in the arcades. What I originally thought was a really funky concept turned out to be a VERY good game!
1. Shenmue: Wow, wow, wow, and did I mention WOW? An absolutely HUGE game, intricately detailed, and makes fun use of the VMU (virtual memory unit). This one should be in every Dreamcast owner's collection, and if it's not it should be at the top of their want list!

TOP 10 X-BOX GAMES

10. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind: Who says there aren't any good RPG's on the X-Box? Morrowind is proof that there are, and in this case VERY much so. So much to do, so many places to go, all from the very start!
9. MechAssault 1 and 2: Man it feels good to get back behind the controls of a battlemech again! MA 2 really soups up the series, allowing the pilots to get out of the mechs, operate gunnery emplacements, and even hijack opposing mechs. Can you say "Grand Theft Mech?" ;o)
8. Forza Motorsport: The proclaimed "Gran Turismo Killer" makes my Top 10. I don't know if its' truly BETTER than GT, I would put the games pretty equally. It's great for those that have an X-Box but not a PS2, and if they have both systems, get both games!
7. Ninja Gaiden Black: This one took me by immense surprise. Yeah, it's not exactly a cakewalk, but MAN this game is fun! Hard, yes, but easy to get into and just play on and on....and on......
6. Jade Empire: Bioware delivered another gem of an RPG with this one. Done much like Knights of the Old Republic, this game is a martial arts kind of RPG. Hooked me in just as easily as KOTOR did!
5. Shenmue 2: The game whos predecessor (the original Shenmue) got me hooked on the Dreamcast is also the game that got me to finally break down and get an X-Box. And also like the original Shenmue it doesn't disappoint. And, for those that haven ot yet discovered Shenmue for the Dreamcast, the game comes with a DVD of all the cinematics from the original Shenmue!
4. Halo 1 and 2: The series that is probably the most synonymous with the X-Box. The single player game is decent, but the multiplayer is where both games really shine!
3. Madden 2006: Willard's own Charlie Frye makes his video game debut.....AND it's a very solid game too! :o)
2. Star Wars: Battlefront 1 and 2: Take Battlefield 1942, do it up Star Wars style, then put it on the X-Box. Just as fun, and just as addictive!
1. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2: Star Wars goes RPG, and does it very VERY well!! Two of the best games out for the X-Box! A very Baldur's Gate-type of feel to it.

TOP 10 X-BOX 360 GAMES

10. Halo 3: Halo makes its way onto the 360 list. BIG shocker, huh?
9. Call of Duty 2: I don't know what it is, but even though CoD 3 and 4 are both really good games, CoD 2 is the one game in the series that just really sucked me in full force. 2 just had something about it that when I was done playing, I was like "that. was. INTENSE."!!
8. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent: I've thoroughly enjoyed the Splinter Cell series thus far, and I'm definitely enjoying this one!
7. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter: This game got me playing the Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon games again. Defintiely a must-buy! A good solid squad shooter, easily my favorite R6/GR game.
6. Lego Star Wars II The Original Trilogy: Yes, the game IS as funny as the commercials! I NEVER thought I would even think of picking up a Star Wars Lego title, but this one is really something! I'm just waiting to see the "I am your father" scene!
5. Forza Motorsport 2: Okay, this may be the "racing game to kill time until Gran Turismo 5 hits", but it's one heckuva good game to kill time until Gran Turismo 5! One of the better racing games I've played!
4. Gears of War 1 and 2: I STILL can't get "Mad World" (the song from the commercials) out of my head!! Another very very well done series! Once I finish Fallout 3 I'm gonna get back to this series!
3. The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion: Take Morrowind, hype it up on Barry Bonds-strength steroids, and you MIGHT get close to what Oblivion is like! It's still HUGE like Morrowind, but doesn't have the "oh my God where do I go now" feel to it!
2. Mass Effect: The closest we've gotten to having a Knights of the Old Republic game hit the 360. The game is beyond huge, and just as much of a blast as the KotOR series!
1. Fallout 3: Take Oblivion. Set it in a post-apocalyptic Washington DC, give it some guns and some other cool stuff to play with, and you got Fallout 3. This thing STILL hasn't left my 360! What really makes it is seeing a lot of the historical landmarks, albeit most of it in ruins. You even get quests to steal the Magna Carta, Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence!
