These are from a series of ten paintings I did as a sort of personal challenge and exercise. I imagined what various famous artists would have painted if they visited the nearby ghost town of Rhyolite and how they would have painted it.

The "Van Gogh" shows the Rhyolite Train Depot. The "Dali" includes a flaming burro, a melted wagon wheel, the Gorrell Building Ruin, and "Icara," a sculpture by Belgian artist Andre Peters, located in the Rhyolite outdoor sculpture museum. The "Magritte" shows a view from the window of the Rhyolilte school.
