A young friend of mine recently requested a portrait with a "Victorian" look. I drew upon my experience working in portrait studios before color photography was common and produced the accompanying image of her. The first is sepia toned. The second is hand colored with transparent oils. That's the way we used to do them in the "old days." I think this look might appeal to many people today. It has a certain classic beauty, don't you think?
