The Corona Frigate is the direct result of the EF76 Nebulon B. Its weapons are altered and it can hold 3 starfighter squadrons, opposed to the Nebulon B fighter compliment of two squadrons. The Corona Frigate provides a series of roles such as reconaissance-in-force, close-line fire support and anti-starfighter cover for the New Republic's Cruisers.
