The pride and joy of the Empire. This mammoth can sling unrelenting amounts of firepower into virtually any vessel in the galaxy and expect victory. It can easily hold a star system in its iron grip. By Endor there were 25,000 Imperial Star Destroyers in service. This ship lacks raw material recycling facilities unlike other ships it has to eject its debris and waste into space. Its primary docking bay is large enough to hold a Corellian Corvette and is used to launch probes and starfighters. The second launch bay is used to launch invasion equipment and shuttles. Its reactor puts out as much power as a star. The only vessel during the time of the Rebellion that could challenge this hulking beast was the Mon Calamari Star Cruisers. Fortunately for the New Republic the Imperial Star Destroyer cannot rechannel lost shields through back up shields thus giving the Mon Clamari Star Cruisers an edge on it in combat. It is said that this warship can destroy whole fleets of small ships and can turn a planet's surface to a charred mass of carnage and death within a matter of hours.
