Notes:
(1) Mary Jane Sherrill was previously married to Isaac Taylor. 
Mary and Isaac had three children, Catherine (Catsey),
Margaret (died young) and Margaret (born after Isaac’s
death).
(2) Littlepage Sims was the first sheriff of Blount County,
Tennessee in 1795-1796.
(3) He was representative to the first state assembly of
Tennessee in 1796-1797.
(4) He was delegate to the constitutional convention of
Alabama in 1819.
(5) He was first state senator of Cahawba (Bibb) County,
Alabama in 1819-1821.
(6) According to “The Over Mountain Men”, he was
lieutenant in the battle of King’s Mountain during the
Revolutionary War.
(7) He died while on a surveying trip in the vicinity of
Birmingham in 1830.

Notes:
(1) Lewis was the first representative from Talladega County,
Alabama in 1834 and 1835.
(2) Lewis was justice of the peace in Caldwell County, Texas
when the county was formed from Bastrop County.
(3) Lewis married (2) A.E.M Swawne (?) 28 Aug 1873
Caldwell County, Texas.
(4) Lewis was a petitioner for the creation of the County of
Plum Creek, Texas on 16 Dec 1847.
(5) Lewis was a founder of the Lockhart Academy, 5 Sep
1850.
(6) Mary Frances is buried on the former Berry Robuck farm,
located off of County road 163.  There is a double stone for
Mary F. Brite (1834-1874) and her first husband, David B.
Brite.  There is a single stone marked Mary F. Swann (22 Oct
1834-1 Dec 1871).
