Latest Happenings

11/14/01--During a radio interview on WMMR in Philadelphia on 11/13/01 (promoting his headlining gig at the Philadelphia Spectrum 11/12 with special guest Fuel), Diamond Dave filled us in on his immediate plans for the DLR Band. It seems the video/dvd project will contain music from the entire new album that the band has been working on. He plans to do the "ass backwards" thing and release video first, then the album. He didn't give a lot more detail but it sounds like it will be a one-of-a-kind thing. During the interview, Dave also mentioned being in the studio with famed rock producer Bob Rock (Metallica, The Cult, etc.), who produced DLR's "A Little Ain't Enough" in 1991. According to the "Van Halen News Desk" "http://vhnd.com", the video/dvd is due out before Christmas. It looks like we have a lot to look forward to in the coming months from Dave. Anyone going to the Philly show, please submit reviews in the Guestbook! 8/29/01--Wow! I've been away for quite some time. My plan is to update the site and keep it updated. A lot has happened over the last two years. As Dave's current "Dave Saves The Day" Tour is winding down with the last confirmed date this coming weekend in Seattle, many rumors are still circulating about our Diamond's future. From Van Halen reuniting to the Eat 'Em & Smile Band reuniting. From the best of my knowledge it appears as if the current touring lineup of the Mighty DLR Band (Bart Walsh-g, Ray Luzier-d, James Lomenzo-b)will continue as a band for at least the immediate future. Bart Walsh recently stated on his website "http://www.bartwalsh.com/" that all is well with the band and they are working on some cool ideas and have a lot of great plans. There could possibly be a new video release in stores soon from the current tour, and (I'm hoping for) a new studio album from the current lineup as the follow-up to DLR Band ('98) is way overdue. Well, this is a quick update, and again, I plan to gradually update the site over the next few months. Hope everyone enjoys it!
