"Well done, thou good and faithful servant...Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord."

Matthew 25:21

Former BWMS Canadian missionary Mary Marybury died at the Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, May 15, 1995 in her 79th year.

A certified nursery school teacher, she had a particular gift for communicating with children. She was appointed missionary to All People's Mission in Brantford in 1966 and when the mission closed in 1968 she and her husband Frank, a licensed lay preacher, were sent to the Melvin Avenue Mission in Sudbury.

After four years of conscientous service they retired to a farm near Field, and gave leadership to the Kipling Baptist Church.

After Frank's death on October 10, 1984 in Sudbury Ontario, Mary moved back to Hamilton where she was active in the prayer and 55 + groups at Wentworth Baptist Church until cancer ended her life.

Few people knew that for more than 40 years she had lived with chronic pain of a degenerative back condition. Dear mother of Arthur and Judy Maybury of Hamilton, Robert and Elieen Maybury of Hamilton and Berna and Ernest Armitt of Thompson, Manitoba, Mary was predeceased by brothers Stanley and Robert, as well as by grandchild David.

In addition to battling cancer during her last months in 1995, Mary was predeceased by daughter Joan Trusdale in February and her 18 month old great granddaughter Geordi Elizabeth Maybury in March of 1995.

In addition to her three surviving children Mary is survived by 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Me with my Great Grandmother Amy who passed away October 1996.
