Let's face it - looking the exact same day in and day out can get a little boring. So try a few of these handy dandy tips from Kitty's Clubhouse. Even a teenie change can make you feel like a star!

Shampoo Tips

1. Always shampoo twice. The first time gets rid of dirt and oil. The second time adds volume to your hair.

2. If you have dry hair, don't shampoo every day.

3. Never skip using conditioner after shampooing.

4. Your hair will dry quicker if you use a quick-dry shampoo, like Redken Active Express Flash Wash shampoo.

5. Always rinse your hair in warm water.

6. To make your hair shiny, use a gloss-enhancing shampoo.

7. Shampoos than contain silicone will help reduce frizz.

8. Use a deep cleansing shampoo to stop greasy hair.

9. Definitely use a moisturizing shampoo if your hair is curly.

10. If your hair is permed, use an extra gentle shampoo.

11. Shampoo's containing tea tree oil combat dandruff.

12. Don't pour shampoo directly onto your head. Lather it between your hands first.

13. Make sure you rinse your hair out completely. Leftover shampoo makes your hair look dull.


Conditioner Tips

1. For stronger hair, use a protein based conditioner.

2. Squeeze extra water from your hair before putting on conditioner.

3. You don't need to use conditioner on top of your head. Only put it on the midsection and ends of your hair.

4. Gently comb conditioner through your hair before rinsing.

5. Add a few drops of olive oil to your conditioner. It will make your hair softer and shinier.

6. If your hair is really dry and icky looking, use a hot oil product occasionally.

7. Use cool water after conditioning. You'll definitely feel a difference in your hair's texture.

8. Don't put leave on conditioner on your hair's roots since it will weigh it down.

9. Once a week, comb mayonnaise through your hair and leave it in for about 20 minutes. It makes a great conditioner!

10. Always condition your hair right before swimming to protect it from chlorine or salt water.

11. If you're out of conditioner, use lotion instead.

12. Leave conditioner in your hair for at least a minute each time you use it.

13. A good homemade conditioner : blend an avocado & a bananna together until they make a paste. Leave it on your hair for about 20 minutes. After rinsing it out, shampoo & condition as usual.


Styling Tips

1. After blow-drying, put your hair in a ponytail for about 15 minutes to add body and smoothness.

2. Keep hats around for really bad hair days!

3. Dip a blush brush in shimmer powder and sweep it through your hair to make your locks sparkle.

4. Always use styling products like mousse, gel, and cream on damp hair.

5. Air dry your hair for 15 minutes before blow-drying it.

6. Your hair won't need to be blow-dried as long if you use a vent brush.

7. Use an alcohol based hairspray on oily hair.

8. To make your hair wavy, braid slightly damp hair at night. It will look great when you undo the braids in the morning.

9. Bored with your hair? Put in a few hair jewels or clips for an easy change.

10. The longer your hair is, the bigger your hairbrush should be.
