We Love Animals!!!

Greetings, fellow critter enthusiasts! Below are pictures of pets that belong to a few of the clubhouse members. If you want to show off your cute furball here too, simply email a picture of them to DnLuna@aol.com with a few details about them. All pets are welcome, from cats and dogs to monkeys and prairie dogs, (yes, some people really keep monkeys and prairie dogs as pets!)

This is Spiffy, also known as 'the spifilicious, wheeky girl'. She is a one year old guinea pig. Spiffy recieved her nickname because whenever her owner comes home from school, Spiffy lets out a loud "wheek, wheek" to let her know she missed her! Spiffy also 'popcorns' when she is excited, which is the term for when a happy guinea pig jumps in the air and shakes. Spiffy loves timothy hay and romaine lettuce. She sleeps in a cage, but when she's being supervised, she has full run of the house.

This is Cabbit. Her name is a combination of cat and rabbit, because when she was a kitten, she liked to hop around. Cabbit's owner says she is a spoiled brat who constantly demands attention, and she loves her for it. Cabbit was adopted from an animal shelter. Her owner is very thankful that she visited the shelter that day, or this darling kitty may have been put to sleep.

Here's Britney, who is named after Britney Spears. Awwww, isn't she precious! This photo was taken when she was just a few weeks old. When Britney was adopted, her new owners were told that she probably wouldn't weigh more than eighteen pounds when she was full grown. Today, she weighs over thirty pounds, and she's still growing! She was also a very calm, mellow puppy, which was good because they didn't want a dog with a lot of energy. Today, Britney is the most hyper dog in the neighborhood! Despite being the opposite of what they wanted, her owners love her anyway.

This is Celine, whose nickname is "the big, bad kitty". She was adopted from an animal shelter in Albuquerque, NM. Her owner says she's the best cat he's ever had - she loves to cuddle, loves to play, and, as you can probably tell by that pudgy face, loves to eat! Celine is proof that the best thing to do when you want a new pet is to visit your local animal shelter.
