My brother, Raymond, passed away at the young age of thirty three, just five months after my Mom passed away. It was under very tragic circumstances and it devastated our entire family.

At the time he was planning his wedding. The wedding was planned for August, Tragically he passed away in June. I was very depressed and inconsolable. It was just so much to bear losing my brother while still grieving over the loss of Mom. I begged and prayed to my brother for a sign that he was in a better place. That he and Mom were together again. I asked that the sign be a white dove. I don't know why, I just felt I needed it to be a white dove.

Later that day, I went into the living room. I sat down to listen to some music, and there on my living room couch lay a White Dove. I had purchased an angel a few months after my Mom died. It was named Angel of Peace I know she would have loved it. I placed it on a high shelf above the couch. She was beautiful, with blond curls, a blue gown and white sparkling wings. Perched on her right hand with a firm strip of velcro attached was a white dove. Somehow, that day it had fallen off and landed on the couch. With tears in my eyes, I picked it up and held it close and thanked my brother for the sign.

Soon after my sister Ruth and I were at Ray's grave. We brought chairs with us and we were sitting and remembering the different things about Mom and Ray. All of a sudden this Monarch Butterfly came flying down and landed first on Mom's grave, then over to Raymond's grave. It than flew over to us, and circled for a few minutes. There was such electricity in the air it was breath taking. It was than we remembered how as a small boy, Raymond loved to watch the Monarch's flying about. We remembered the Picture above his bed. It was of a Monarch in a flower garden. He now began sending his signs in the form of a Monarch Butterfly.

One night last winter, I was dreaming about Ray. I had fallen asleep with the TV on. There was a Christian channel on that played music while showing beautiful outdoor scenery of various Monarchs. Clusters of them on flowers and in trees. Stunned to wake up and see this after dreaming about Raymond, made me feel so good and my mind at peace. I always thank him for these awesome signs. We know his spirit will always be there for us.

He was always very positive, no matter what went wrong. That was one of the wonderful qualities that he had all of his life. He had a great love of children, and I know given the chance he would have been a kind and loving dad. He had a beautiful smile, a hearty laugh and a wonderful sense of humor. He wants us to start smiling and laughing again. He wants us to know we are still loved by him and Mom."That will never change". Any time I am feeling blue or depressed I will always see his Monarch's flitting about.
