Encore un jour nouveaux! Nous will play again this aftenoon and I think it will be our last performance at the World Cup... I mean, they are very good at soccer those dudes from Argentina... We lost the finals in 1978 and people still talk about that final. they think it's 'payback-time' for the Dutch national soccerteam. Let's hope we will make it.

WE made it! Our national soccer team has beaten the Argentinas with 2-1! Now have to face the Nike crew from Brasil next Tuesday... And if they win they might meet the Germans in the final. That is IF the Germans win 2nite...

If we have to go against the Germans in the final it will be like re-living WWII again. 'WE' are supposed to be against Germans. That is a genetical thing. It has been passed on from father to son, from mother to daughter... Always there are jokes about Germans. 'Wo ist die Bahnhoff?' (for all of you who don't speak or read German: Where is the railway- station?). Answer from the Dutchman pointing in the wrong direction: 'Do ist die Bahnhoff!' (there is the railwaystation). In other words: Never help a German... Doesn't work like that for me though...But it's the general thought in Holland.

It will be long before it's quiet in Holland, I think!
