The Donnsters have once again put thier heads together and thought up the perfect gift for our favorite "star".... his very own star, named for him shining in the heavens!! :)
Yes, you heard right, the star is called Donny Osmond (The Dreamer's Star). It is within the constellation Sagittarius (Donny's birth sign) .This name was chosen, not only for the connotations to the musical "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" which Donny starred in for five years, but also because those who gaze upon it can make a wish and have thier dreams come true!

The magnitude of this star is pretty bright, so you may not need binoculars,
it should be visible to the naked eye! Anything 3 or lower requires binoculars, or high powered telescopes.
Sagittarius is visible best during the month of August around 9pm. Note that this is when the constellation is highest in the sky. The best times to view it depend on where you are, your lattitude and longitude, what time it is, etc... the constellations rise and set like the sun and planets do, so keep that in mind. The International Star Registry based in London will OFFICIALLY name the star in Donny's honor and a gift kit will be given to him. The kit contains a beautiful parchment certificate with the date of the gift, the name of the star and official information. The kit also contains a celestial map with coordinates to the very star that is Donny's own.
Donny was given a certificate, a letter, a map with the coordinates to his star and a list of the names of all of those who contributed to this gift.
