Sorry for lack of updates and events this past week, but I have been out of town for the holiday. I also apologize for any unposted news sent to me during my absence. Now that I am back the staff is currently making new furniture and locking down the Quest Center Tower. Although the tower is unlocked, we do not have all the furniture in place at this time. We hope to have it completed early next week. We are also currently planning a big event for mages so check back through the week for updates.

Styvnn, the head of the Great Council of the City of Caemlyn on the
shard known as Great Lakes, is missing. The
Councils of the Book, the Sword and the Flame are investigating and
hope to have some clues for a rescue attempt this
Saturday 11/21. The Councils have posted a reward of a War Mace of
Vanquishing and a Full Spell Book for his safe
return. All we know at this point is that he was exploring the
frontier and his faithful steed Tara wandered back into
Papua. More information will be posted when it is available.

gathering wool from the sheep of Delucia I felt a
cold chill run down my spine, as if Death himself had walked by me.
I could not help but pause, and though I know it
impossible, I could almost hear the sound of my mentor Styvnn cry
out to me. I vainly search for the source of the cry at
full gallop but found only forests and silence.
I have a great fear for my mentor. I fear that he has been taken
from us unnaturaly and I besiege all brave and proud
warriors to aid in our search of him.

Chess & Checkers Tournament

We will be holding the chess and checkers tournament this coming Sunday at 8 PM CST. Prizes will be awarded for 1st & 2nd places in each game. You may compete in both and there is no cost to enter the tournament. Although not required to enter, I would appreciate it if you emailed me telling if you would like to enter the tournament so I can get an estimate on how many people will be attending. My Quest Staff has also told me about the possibility of a quest that night...*crosses fingers*

and mages there. I think your weapon would gain a fair price there friend." Strider replied

Rules :
1. The auction is a neutral zone so no fighting
2. If you bring a steed please move him to the side of the store so them magic people can get here
safely. Also do understand that them animals be wandering lately :P I guess its horse sense :P
3. If you wish to submit an item to the auction please come by store between 7-9 EST to drop off
items to Widgit or Jessie the auctioneers.
4. There will be a vendor this auction only for the selling items, so if your in a rush please state to the
auctioneers or any other staff there that you have to go, and they will place the item on the vendor
for you.
5. All items must be put in a bag with a book - title as your name and also state any low bids in the
book for your items or bidding starts at 100gp.

The Roleplaying & Quest Center has had its 1,000th hit! May not be a big deal to you, but I'm happy :) On another note, I was viewing the U.Hall over at UOSS and noticed alot of people posting their "Top Ten Signs You Know Your An UO Addict" so I am going to compile a Top 100 with everyones submissions. Credit will be given to all that send one in and hopefully I will post them up later this week if I have enough submissions. Send them to me as soon as you can.

Staff Positions

For all of those interested in seeking positions at the Quest Center I have posted a staff application form which can be found here. Our biggest need right now is a Quest Staff. The Quest Staff is responsible for helping come up with ideas for quests and helping carry them out. Myself and a few others currently come up with the quests and have been planning a few, but with a staff devoted entirely to quests it would make things much easier for us and open up more possibilities. The Regular Staff helps maintain the building including security and helps with any non-quest events. We currently have our own guild stone to identify staff members. You can identify us by checking to see if we have (Staff Member, RQC) or (Quest Staff, RQC) above our heads. We now have new hours if you may have noticed as well. We are now open only during the weekend unless posted on this site. The reason for this is to help keep down looters and simply because we do not have a large enough staff at this point to be there at times. Being open on just weekends should hopefully let us devote more time to the tower during open hours. As soon as our staff has been filled or we have received a lockdown, the Quest Center Tower will remain unlocked at all times. If you have not noticed, the Quest Center tries to hold an event, quest, or contest every week so check back regularly for details.

Well Its time again for Auction night alrdy... Many people on Great Lakes have already contacted me wanting to submit
items for this weeks auction so be rdy :P
First i would like to name every week the biggest contributor to each auction. Last weeks auctions biggest contributor
was Sir Air Jordon with many diffrent Weapons of power or more and Armor of hardening. Tara the dragon was not
auctioned last week due to what we call a power outage, but is back on the block as the last item for bid. We also hope to
have something special planned for after the auction.. maybe a crawl for instance..myself as a merchant will not be able to
partake in this due to my ever loving merchant life.
The auction begins Tues. night 10 Nov, 9 EST- anyone wanting to submit items please do so from
7 - 9 EST .
How to submit items : Get an ordinary bag place a book inside with the title as your name and state
any low bids inside book otherwise we start at 100gp per item and put all your items in the bag and come to store and
hand to auctioneers.
Rules: No fighting please - RD Store Front is a Neutral zone , Keep horses from entrance so those magic guys can get to
the store, and of course bring Red Devil a gift J/K :P

Expedition Update

First I'm sorry for not updating earlier but I have been really busy. Have a few updates as well so I'll start out with the expedition. The journey into the new lands in fact was alot of fun! The group first set out to conquer the new Ice Dungeon...but we soon found out that we needed more people for that so we later traveled to the OrcFort/Cemetary and killed lots of orcs. I have been meaning to put up the screenshots but my screenshot device, when used, put me through a really long stall so unfortunately I didn't take very many. As soon as I get the chance I will most likely just post them on the screenshot page. I also plan on holding another adventuring party back into the new lands at some point for all those interested.

Expedition

Good news! Reports from our expedition have started coming back in. Detailed info about the first days of the expedition should be posted tomorrow. As a result of our findings, this Saturday, the Quest Center will be hosting an adventuring party into the new lands. All are welcome to join as we journey through the lands seeking out adventure. Depending on the number of participants, we will most likely visit the OrcFort/Cemetary or one of the new dungeons....We will meet at the Quest Center Tower at 8 PM CST and gate to one of the T2A entrances where we will then head into the new lands.

Cleanup

I went in and deleted the Quest News page. As a result the map and guidelines were moved onto the mainpage up above. Hopefully this will make it easier for navigation in the future. I also added a screenshots page for all of those pics we will take in the future. :) For all of those that have T2A: The Quest Center has just sent an expedition into the new lands to search for dungeons and other areas of interest. Upon returning they will share with you all of the information gathered and lead a large adventuring party back into the new lands to explore dungeons and other such areas. Wish them luck!
